I’m a designer utilizing storytelling, humor, and emotion to create work that feels authentic and memorable. My work is driven by curiosity, play, and a deep belief in the power of creativity and human connection.
Design is a reflection of who I am—messy, humorous, curious, and rooted in storytelling. It is a way to bring play into the mundane, to challenge seriousness with moments of levity, and to connect people through shared experiences. I see design as a journey inward, a means of discovering and expressing identity through each project I create. It holds a duality: the power to uplift or diminish, to create meaning or strip it away. This responsibility drives me to approach design with intention, ensuring that what I put into the world fosters connection, empathy, and recognition. At times, I wrestle with my place in it all, questioning whether design truly matters—but I always return to the same answer: yes, it does, and I have the ability to make an impact.
More than a career, design is a calling—one that I believe is divine. My creativity is not random; it is a gift, intentionally placed within me, and every project is an opportunity to honor it. Through design, I see glimpses of something greater than myself, a reflection of the complexity, depth, and beauty of creation. It has taught me patience, humility, and the importance of embracing the peculiar thoughts that make my work my own. Design, to me, is an act of worship—an ongoing conversation between myself, my work, and the world around me. It is my way of answering the question, “Who are you?” with every strange, playful, and meaningful idea I bring to life.
Looking back, what advice would you give yourself?
I would remind myself to stay true to my unique perspective and not to get brought down by comparison. Design isn’t just about the end result; it’s about the journey of self-discovery and growth. Trust that the answers will come as long as you remain authentic and open to learning.
What's your favorite A+D memory?
Pitch week, I loved being able to hear from both professionals and my peers in the truest sense. The amount of knowledge and prep that goes into pitch week will truly set us all apart in the future.
What was your favorite A+D class?
History of Graphic Design. No class has ever captivated me as much as this one. Both the vast history of our field and the amazing projects we completed.
What moment, project, and/or critique in your Art + Design career at AU has been pivotal to who you are as an artist or creator?
The times we fail. Failure hurts, hurts very bad, and yet it is the most important lesson of all. You can always try again, always grow and most importantly always do better the next time.
What's next for you?
I won’t pretend to know what’s next, I will say that God leads the way. No matter where, when, or how, i know my path will be chosen by him.
How do you hope your work makes an impact?
I hope to make work that is a betterment to the world. Either for the majority or a single individual, I hope that my work makes them feel loved.
