I approach design as an evolving, empathetic process where research, storytelling, and personal experiences intersect to create meaningful work. Ultimately, my practice is a form of creative worship, a vessel for serving others through thoughtful, intentional design.

Design, for me, is an evolving process of exploration and connection—a journey that blends curiosity with purpose. I see design as a delicate balance of research, empathy, and storytelling. It’s a collage of the past and present where seemingly broken pieces come together to form something purposeful. Like a photo dump of ideas and influences, each design is intentionally curated and layered with the richness of history, culture, and personal narratives. These pieces, like paint on a canvas, mix to create solutions that not only communicate but also make an impact on the user’s experience.

At its core, design for me is a vessel for storytelling, a form of creative worship. Design is about working with intention and responding to the needs of others. It’s about stepping into the unknown, much like Amelia Earhart charting new paths, and finding solutions in places of discomfort. My design practice is deeply rooted in the belief that we are all part of a larger neighborhood, connected by our unique contributions and our shared humanity. Ultimately, my work is an expression of service—a gift through which I can glorify the Creator by using creativity to serve others.

I cherish every memory of the Ivy Leaves Design team. Each class meets later in the evenings, which brings so much silliness, creativity, and relationship building, all while working towards the goal of sharing the voices and stories of others. I have loved being able to see our dreams come alive in physical means and being able to continue the tradition of this publication for the 100th year.

Type Resurrections (so nice I took it twice!)

Brand Identity. I struggled for a long time in the ideation phase and feeling as if every single pass at an idea or lead was like throwing paint at a wall. Everything felt wrong, until I let the Lord within my process. That turn created some of my most favorite work, not because it was the prettiest design, but because the intention behind each decision was fully thought out. I learned that within my creative process, a vital step was allowing Him into it and co-creating with the Ultimate Creator.

I hope to be able to visually tell the stories of others and build relationships with them by learning their stories.
