I am deeply committed to creating visual solutions that not only look appealing but also communicate meaning and purpose. Research is the most important part of my practice; I dedicate significant time to understanding the context and audience to inform my work, believing that a strong foundation of knowledge is essential for creating truly effective designs. I approach every project with a focus on understanding the unique needs and goals of my clients, ensuring that my designs are both functional and impactful. I find joy in the process of listening, collaborating, and problem-solving, and ultimately strive to make design a tool for clarity, connection, and positive change.

Looking back, what advice would you give yourself?

Give yourself full reign to fail. I came into AU thinking I needed to know everything and I truly wanted to know everything. I experienced the most growth when I was pushed to do a project I did not know anything about.

What's your favorite A+D memory?

My favorite A+D memory was the potluck Thanksgiving meal with the professors. Such a good time to just unwind and spend time with one another.

What was your favorite A+D class?

My favorite class was either Type Resurrections or History of Graphic Design.

What moment, project, and/or critique in your Art + Design career at AU has been pivotal to who you are as an artist or creator?

The project that interested me the most was the design of my USL League One Soccer Team based in Biloxi, Mississippi. I feel that this project propelled me to think about sports design in as a future career.

What's next for you?

I wish to stay in the Greenville area and work with a sports team in the area to create graphics for their team. I am not sure exactly where I will end up, but I am open to a lot of areas in design.

How do you hope your work makes an impact?

I hope to encourage people to use the old to inspire the new. I really rely on the designs of the past to motivate my designs of the present.
