As a designer, I believe design is more than just a discipline—it’s a way of living. My work is rooted in the idea of "design as collecting"—gathering inspiration, stories, and ideas with the intention of providing value and creating connection. I approach each project with a focus on uncovering the inherent beauty in the overlooked or forgotten, breathing new life into the past. My goal is to create meaningful work that not only serves a functional purpose but also tells a story, evokes curiosity, and fosters a deeper understanding of the world around us. Through design, I aim to make the old new, offering fresh perspectives that resonate with others.

Looking back, what advice would you give yourself?

Chill out. I spent so much time worrying I wasn't measuring up to everyone else in the program. Embrace the unknown. Don't be scared to ask questions. Lean on the Lord in times of stress.

What's your favorite A+D memory?

I will forever cherish the memories of late nights spent working in the studio. Though I was often sleep-deprived, hungry, and stressed, what I’ll remember most is the laughter, the silly conversations, and the deep connections I forged with my closest friends.

What was your favorite A+D class?

My favorite class was definitely Type Resurrections during my junior year. It felt like the perfect space to exercise what I love most about design—collecting and reimagining the old to make it new again. I also gained meaningful mentorship and lasting friendships from the senior designers I took it with.

What's next for you?

Post-grad, I’m embracing the unknown and all the possibilities that lie ahead. I’m considering big city life, joining a small design studio, traveling to places I’ve always wanted to visit, and meeting new people along the way. Above all, I hope to stay passionate about my work, continue growing as a lifelong learner, and navigate this journey with the support of close friends and family by my side.

How do you hope your work makes an impact?

I hope my design brings fresh perspectives, sparks curiosity, and fosters radical hospitality toward others. I aim to inspire people to see the world in new ways.
