Design is more than aesthetics—it is a powerful tool for connection, storytelling, and problem-solving. My creative journey began in high
school, where I discovered the potential of design to communicate ideas and enhance everyday experiences. Over time, I have developed a deep appreciation for photography, production, print, and web-based design, exploring how each medium can foster engagement and inspire curiosity.

At the core of my work is a passion for service and collaboration. I believe that impactful design emerges when we build relationships, understand diverse perspectives, and use our collective knowledge to craft solutions that exceed expectations. Whether designing a brand identity or refining a digital experience, my goal is always to create work that is both functional and inspiring—something that fosters awe, creativity, and meaningful connection.

Looking back, what advice would you give yourself?

I would tell myself to immerse more in experiences—learning not just from professors but from peers and real-world projects. Hands-on experiences have shaped me as a graphic designer, deepening my understanding of design’s impact and its ability to create meaningful connections.

What moment, project, and/or critique in your Art + Design career at AU has been pivotal to who you are as an artist or creator?

One pivotal project was the creation of the Wundersthul chair. It allowed me to integrate my understanding of 3D design and graphic design into a project that fostered meaningful connections.

What's next for you?

After graduation, I’m excited to continue refining my design skills, particularly in branding and identity systems. I plan to dive deeper into working with organizations—such as churches and businesses—to help them create authentic, community-driven brands. I’m eager to collaborate with others on real-world projects that allow me to continue learning while making an impact through design.

How do you hope your work makes an impact?

I hope my work makes an impact by authentically reflecting my faith through the art of graphic design. By thoughtfully incorporating my beliefs into the intention, ideation, and processes behind each project, I aim to create designs that not only communicate visually but also resonate on a deeper level, allowing others to understand both what I believe and why I believe it.
