Design is my journey, an endless series of adventures where creativity meets purpose. Growing up, I was captivated by stories that transported me to new worlds, where heroes faced impossible odds and imagination knew no limits. That love for storytelling never faded; instead, it evolved into a design practice rooted in discovery, connection, and wonder. Every project is an opportunity for me to step into a new story, shape ideas into something tangible, and equip others with the tools to carry their vision forward. Like a companion on a grand quest, I help light the way, knowing that while my chapter in the story may end, the journey continues.

I approach design with curiosity, always seeking where the impossible could be possible. That sense of wonder we often lose—the belief that anything can be built, shaped, or imagined into existence—drives my creative pursuit. And despite every creative pursuit coming with uncertainty, I’ve learned that design is an act of courage and using that courage to step through the door of the unknown. More than that, I believe creativity is a God-given gift, one that allows me to reflect a part of who He is as the Ultimate Creator of our world. Whether through branding, typography, illustration, or storytelling, my work is about pushing past limitations, embracing the magic of “what if,” and shaping stories that inspire others to embark on their own creative journeys.

Looking back, what advice would you give yourself?

I would tell myself to have courage. Walk through the door not because it's scary but because it's an opportunity. You'll never know what you can accomplish if you let fear and failure hold you back.

What's your favorite A+D memory?

I would have to say that when Courtney and I walked into Prof. Speaker's office and said, "We want to help with AUTF," Speaker simply replied, "Yes." From that moment on, Courtney and I spent the next year and a half doing everything we could to help launch AUTF. I'm so excited to have been co-president of AUTF and leave that legacy behind for each class to pick up and continue running.

What was your favorite A+D class?

Advanced Design 2 was my favorite class. It was a class of discovery and personal creative pursuit. During this class, I was able to dive deep and explore passions I either had not been able to explore or had yet to feel like I had the freedom or ability to explore.

What moment, project, and/or critique in your Art + Design career at AU has been pivotal to who you are as an artist or creator?

Going through the History of Graphic Design was an eye-opener for me. It helped me understand my role as a designer and the importance of designing for the betterment of our world. I was able to really grasp the weight and responsibility we designers and creatives have in creating with intention rather than just to create.

What's next for you?

To be completely honest, I’m not entirely sure what comes next. However, I know that whatever it is, I hope and pray God uses me and my creative abilities to bring joy and light to the world in whatever form that may take.

How do you hope your work makes an impact?

I hope my work ignites wonder, empowers others to continue their own journeys, and reminds people that creativity is a God-given gift—one meant to be explored, shared, and used to bring light into the world in many shapes and sizes.
