My work delves into the depths of regret and melancholy, exploring how these unspoken emotions evolve under the weight and passage of time. Through using the rich, reflective tones of oil paint and the textural possibilities of mixed media, I aim to express the complex feelings tied to remorse, whether for choices made, paths not taken, or lives unlived.

Looking back, what advice would you give yourself?

Looking back, I would tell myself to have grace with failures, and to allow for error. Mistakes and stumbles are often what have lead to the best moments in my practice and life.

What was your favorite A+D class?

Painting with Kaniaris was and is my favorite, it gave me such a deep understanding of the medium as well as the history behind it.

What moment, project, and/or critique in your Art + Design career at AU has been pivotal to who you are as an artist or creator?

Not a specific project, but there was a moment between a project in Painting and all that I had learned so far where everything came together and just clicked.

How do you hope your work makes an impact?

I aim for my art to be an example of the healing power of art, where creativity can become a tool for reflection and growth. Through my work, I want to explore the complexities of life, all while using artistic expression as a method to process emotions, untangle difficult narratives, and find a deeper understanding. My hope is that it resonates with others, offering a sense of connection and catharsis.
